Squeeeeeee!

Last night at knitting Laurel surprised me with a hat pattern and three skeins of light pink linen yarn to make it with! Totally sweet of her, and I can't wait to try it. She says it sheds, I think I'm going to make the most of it by telling people that I have a new light pink cat named Barbie.

Alas, I made *negative* progress on my malabrigo stole--but the yarn is so pretty to work with it's okay, I'm just enjoying playing with it. The fan & feather pattern is fast, which is a blessing and a curse. A blessing because I can burn through a whole ball in a few hours. A curse because while burning through said ball, I end up making errors that I don't discover....for a long time :-(
